M4 MacBook Pro logic board failure in under 1 year — normal use. Anyone else?

MacBook Pro M4 purchased February 2025.

Black screen issue but the screen works in Safe Mode. External display works most of the time. Genius Bar confirmed hardware failure — they’re replacing the logic board (and probably the display too). Zero charge. Warranty status on the authorization says “in warranty (W) / covered under AppleCare.”

Anyone else seeing early board/display failures on M-series? Normal desk use + external monitor here. Curious if this is becoming a pattern or if I just pulled a bad unit.

Should I basically plan on keeping AppleCare permanently with M-series given failures like this?
