After 250 days and some of playing this game today I beat Classic mode for the first time with a team that was originally assembled to fame luck and shinies during the event.

With all my best shinies in one basket, a Combee that did not make it to the end bcs it was weak and Tsareena wasn’t, and the strongest Pidgey in the world (I love you Mr. Pidge) I conquered the challenge today and I feel fulfilled and happy as hell. I didn’t take any pictures of Eternatus even though that final was crazy, but I had to take one when I finally got over the biggest obstacle of the run. That Mega Rayquaza was a nightmare to fight and a dream to beat.

I really optimized things once I understood this run was actually quite goated. You can see all the items and moves I had at the end, and honestly since floor 120. I’ve got a whole new game ahead of me now. I always liked roguelikes but this might be my favorite I’ve ever played, constant real progress from one run to the next, with ever changing levels and no small challenges. To all the Pokerogue team PLEASE keep cooking like you are, this is the most fun I’ve had with Pokemon in years and hurry up to put Mega Raichu X&Y once they drop, my Raichu still hungers for more /j

For the heck of it I’ve included made-up joke epilogues for all my mons since they became pretty much a family by the end of this, you know your team is good when four out of six can be considered carries. I now turn to the lottts of other starters I’ve got to work with. Mono-types and Nuzlocke runs sound like a breath of fresh air right now.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got thirteen billion eggs to hatch. I’m getting myself a Necrozma asap.

I did it. I beat Classic. I love this game.
