First wave different to the second wave of the print?

Hey guys, so im trying to get into riftbound but the high prices make it virtually impossible to get into the game atm. Is there any other reason than just scalpers being a*holes? Im coming from OP and the only explanation I could come up with is the fact that there might be a 1st edition/ pre-errata type of thing going on. Is that true, and if so are the prices gonna drop when second wave hits? Should I wait with opening a booster box?
