My boyfriend ‘27M says he has BPD me ‘23F’?

Me (23F) and my (27M) boyfriend will hit 3 years in December. He is a great guy and can be so sweet but sometimes when we are in disagreement he screams at me so violently. He punched a hole in our apartment wall. I know he would never hit a woman but I don’t agree with screaming. He has had a very troubled childhood I would wish on no one. He has tried to kill himself several times. I’ve stopped a few of them. He was in counseling for a month when he could get in for free but it’s costly without insurance. I want to put myself first and breakup but I’m afraid he would try to kill himself and we live together. He does have some brothers but I feel I’m the only family he has that cares about him. He is my first boyfriend. I know he wouldn’t take us breaking up well.
