Why does it does not seem that no US man wants the 3rd Olympic spot?
I have watched about 3ish GP's, watched 3 directly and saw the results for short at NHK(it was in Asia and just did have energy to stay up and watch),and and after all of f this we are basically at the same point we were at the start of the season. Ilia and Jason are going baring something catastrophic happening here for the first two spots and then we have the third spot for the Olympics and you would that someone would want to go so badly that they would have the season of their lives to clinch it, but no we have a season where it seems like no man has actually stepped up and figuratively have put on a sign that's says pick me to go. I looks like this could down to US Nationals and God help us if that happens. Because I can clearly see a scenario where they over score a skater to high heaven to point where that skater is second only to Ilia, let's be honest when Ilia is setting world record scores and beating international fields by nearly 80 points that no one in US is going to come close to beating him, and then like magic they get the spot. I have my suspicions who it going to leave that out o I do not start a mini war here. If I was a skater I would do everything in my power to prevent it going to Nationals and making a statement before then because the committee is going to make the choices because the criteria has basically become useless because the poor results were have had this season and and for the entire previous quad here. Look a blame the US Men, with exceptions of Ilia, Jason, and Jacob (because it first senior season so I will give him a break here), but the rest of them had entire quad and even this season to get their acts together and even now no man has stepped up.If we get to Nationals with trend we have seen and the final spot is that more a political pick than on merit then the rest of field only themselves to blame because they had the power to change that but no one stepped up to avoid this. So let the chaos begin.
