Where can I get info on which foods are likely to be contaminated by pathogens no longer tracked by the CDC and how to eat them?
Every time I do a google search for the listeria food outbreak, it comes up with the pasta recalls. The only reason I know that peaches and deli meats seem to be a problem too is that I follow a scientist on social media. She provided a list of foods that are commonly at risk for listeria contamination and mentioned the other pathogens no longer being tracked by the CDC, but it was very brief. I'm wondering if there is somewhere that I can get information on all the pathogens/outbreaks no longer being tracked by the CDC or tested for by the FDA and how to cook the foods. Also, I heard that the FDA is no longer testing milk, but that some major stores were, so information on that would be nice too, although Costco was one of those stores that I heard was still testing it's milk and it's been caught up in this listeria outbreak so idk if I have any faith in the safety of our food anymore.
