Catheter Removal Burning Help

Hey folks. I (25 non-binary, afab) just got discharged from the hospital after 3 days after some complications with kidney stones. Long story short there was kidney stones causes a UTI, they put two stints in to drain the urine out. Going back in 2 weeks to get the stints and the stones themselves removed.

I wake up post surgery I am screaming and crying in pain from the catheter. Kidney stones are hellish. This was somehow worse. They pump me full of drugs and it's moderately okay for the next 12 hours.

Yesterday, it was still brutal. bladder spasms. Anytime the nurses would move the foley to empty it, I'd yelp in pain.

Finally, this morning, they took it out. I peed almost instantly and it hurt like hell (mind you, during just the kidney stones/uti i didn't have any burning sensation when peeing).

All of my other symptoms have cleared up, but this now burns constantly. Worse when I'm walking or peeing. I tried explaining this to the doctors and nurses but they waved it off.

I've been back home for around 3 hours and it hurts quite badly. I know sometimes this is common, and if it is -- is there anything that could help soothe it? I'm already on pain killers. How long should I wait until reaching back out to the Doctors?
