I have been a dihard Blue Jays fan my entire life. I also have a passion for jerseys and collecting them. I would say I’m quite knowledgeable on both the history and authenticity of MLB jerseys, especially when it comes to the modern day. With this said, I was born in the mid 2000s, so buying jerseys from that era can be challenging for me. I don’t always know what knockoffs from that period look like, as well what to look for.

I recently pulled the trigger on a “Y2K”/ “Angry Birds” era Blue Jays jersey on eBay as seen above. I believe the jersey is a Majestic replica from either the late 2000s or early 2010s. I’ve always wanted a jersey from this era so when I saw such a good deal online I knew it had to be mine. After reflecting on my purchase over the last few hours, I’m
starting to ponder on the authenticity of the jersey. When I looked at the listing I thought it looked fairly legit, single stitched logo, printed/painted graphics, accurate tags, the usual. I am however aware of high quality knockoffs appearing on eBay. So just to be sure can someone please explain if this is real or too good to be true, as well as what to look for going forward in regards to buying jerseys from this era. Thanks!

Is This A True Majestic Replica, or A High Quality Knockoff?
