Careers Hub ghosted me?
I graduated last year and it has been incredibly tough finding an entry level job within what I studied. (Luckily I have a job for now) I contacted the careers service at Vic at the beginning of October and met with a careers person to help me with my Resume, Cover Letter and Portfolio. She gave some ok advice on my portfolio, during our teams call but I didn’t have my cover letter and resume ready (my bad) so I said I would email it her instead so that she could have a read through in her own time rather than skimming through it during our limited call time and give some better advice over email. I have not heard back from them since that teams call. I sent a follow up email asking if she received my email and left two voice messages. Do they just not want to help me ??? Is that not their job?? I would have thought that since I paid thousands of dollars to go to Vic someone could give me some advice on my job application documents and not just stop replying to me or not return my calls. It’s not like they have an Out of Office on to say they are away either. What is going on. Has this happened to anyone else and who else should I ask for help. Since the job market is really tough. I really need a professional opinion on my cover letter and resume. I’m so lost on what to do and I can’t stop crying about it.
