More than 839 million yen were paid out during this weekend’s two contests of the JRA’s horse racing pool WIN5, including one of the top single payouts in the pool history on Saturday.

**Saturday's WIN5**

Massive upsets and a big payday for one lucky player marked the WIN5 pool of Saturday, November 8 2025, on which 4,464,142 tickets were bought for an available prize fund of 312,489,940 yen. **The winning numbers were: 2 – 12 – 13 – 10 – 6.**

The nearly four and a half million eligible tickets were reduced to just 161,039, as 5^(th) favourite Night Aquarium took the win in the Kinshu Stakes (Tokyo 10R). A bigger upset was recorded in the following race for the pool: the Shimizu Stakes (Kyoto 10R), that was won by From Dusk – 11^(th) favourite between 12 starters – with the Ticket Tracker now counting 1,715 still in play.

The next two races in the program were more calm with wins from the odds-on favourites: Salt Queen crossed the post first in the Kibitaki Stakes (Fukushima 11R), with the Ticker Tracker counting now at 201, followed by Diamond Know winning the graded race in the program, the Keio Hai (G2, Tokyo 11R), leaving 86 surviving tickets still in play.

But it was on the pool’s last race – the Muromachi Stakes (Kyoto 11R) – that the biggest upset was recorded with the victory of Peptide Yamato – 16^(th) favourite between 16 starters. Luckly, only one ticket of the surviving ones managed to guess correctly this victory, taking home the entire prize fund: the equivalent of 2,035,168.54 US dollars.
