Need help running games on Samsung S24 Ultra (Winlator v10) – stuck with SimCity 4

Hey everyone, hoping someone here has already gone through this and can point me in the right direction.

I’m using Winlator v10 on a Samsung S24 Ultra. I managed to get SimCity 3000 running just fine — smooth, no major tweaks needed. But when I try to run SimCity 4, things fall apart. The game either freezes on startup or throws compatibility/library errors. I’ve tried switching Wine versions, DXVK profiles, video settings, etc., but the result is always more or less the same.

What’s confusing is that I keep seeing people online running way more demanding games — GTA V, for example — on Winlator. But nobody ever explains their setup. It’s always just a short clip and the classic “it just works”. Which… yeah, doesn’t really help.

So, questions for anyone who’s done this:

• Has anyone actually managed to run SimCity 4 on Winlator? • If so, what config did you use (Wine version, DXVK settings, GPU driver, resolution, etc.)? • Do I need to install any extra components (like .NET, DirectPlay, etc.) for it to launch properly?

Links to any real, step-by-step guides are also welcome. Maybe I’m missing something obvious.
