People who don’t like PvP are afraid of pain, failure and loss
PVE only mode allows you to curate the game to your comfort level. If all you ever do is stay in your comfort zone, you will never grow - both in the game and in life.
PvP teaches you how to stop reacting to discomfort, failure and loss - if persisted enough - instead, spurs the individual to overcome themselves by meeting the discomfort face to face, by rising to the challenge.
PvP is a reflection our primal human nature that stems far back down the evolutionary chain. Our ancestors relied on emotions such as fear or desire, in order to survive.
Now in the modern age where many of those threats are not as prominent (like having to find food or fending off a lion) - we still carry those same primal instincts even if there’s no real threat in our environment.
The threat of being attacked by a lion and the threat of being attacked in arc raiders is the same emotion. The same visceral experience of fear or anxiety. But it doesn’t have to be that way - the people who enjoy PvP have discovered that the challenge in itself is the thrill.
Instead of getting hung up on being betrayed and losing your loot, or thinking to yourself “what the hell is the point of that?” Just let it go and get back in the game again. Keep trying. Keep learning. Keep growing and enjoy the experience of this new incredible game of our time.
