Urgent legal advice required from a lawyer/experienced individual regarding rental issues.

Legal Advice Needed

The post might sound trivial, but the harrassment is extreme. Also, it is a bit long but please bear with me, I really need assistance.

I (25F) have been living in a 3BHK flat with two girls since January 2025. I found the place through a Facebook ad. Initially, they seemed friendly, but things changed soon after I moved in.

LIVING SITUATION:

-The other two girls always keep their doors closed, don’t interact, and act cold.

-I had made it clear before moving in that I work long hours (12+ hours) and only need the flat to sleep 3–4 nights a week. They agreed.

RENTAL AGREEMENT & OWNER DETAILS:

  • I’ve repeatedly asked for the rental agreement and the owner’s contact since January — they refuse to share either. (Screenshots available)

  • They now say I’m living “illegally,” though I pay my share of rent and utilities.

CONFLICTS & HARRASSMENT:

  • In February, they accused me of smoking in the flat once (a friend had done it unknowingly); I apologized.

  • They often bang on my door during work calls and make false accusations about using their things.

  • They speak rudely and refuse to clarify which kitchen items are “common.”

RECENT ISSUE:

  • I pointed out that the “common” cooker had rotten food and flies, just asked to clean it. They took offense and started fighting again.

  • One girl’s sister also stays there and uses common electricity, but when I asked her to split the bill, she rudely refused.

CURRENT PROBLEM:

  • They’re now demanding I move out.

  • The society secretary refuses to get involved since I came through a facebook ad and not the owner's contact.

  • I have no owner contact and am scared they might throw my belongings out one day.

  • I cannot leave the flat at least for the next 5-6 months due to financial and health restraints.

  • I’ve saved screenshots of all chats and incidents. What should I do now? Should I go to the police? How do I find the owner’s details safely?
