How important is wire hiding / cable management in a modern TV wall install?
Upgrading living room setup, and one thing I keep noticing is how much emphasis people put on wire hiding and cable management when wall-mounting a TV.
For those who’ve done it recently — how important was it for you?
Did clean, hidden cables actually make a noticeable difference to the room, or was it more of a “nice to have”? I’m curious because some installs look incredible with totally invisible wiring, while others look a bit messy even with a good mount.
Also, for anyone who went the DIY route:
- Was hiding the wires harder than expected?
- Did you use in-wall cable kits or surface conduits?
- Any regrets or things you’d do differently next time?
Would love to hear how much of a difference proper cable management made to your setup, and whether it’s worth getting a professional involved.
