Irish looking for a US working Visa

Hi, myself and my boyfriend are hoping to move to Boston from Ireland next summer but are unsure about a visa. I was born in the states therefore I have an American passport. We both plan on working out there ( I’m a dental nurse and he’s an electrician) but we are unsure of what kind of visa he would need to apply for. We plan to stay for 1-2 years. Would anyone know what kind of visa he would need, where to get it and roughly how long the process is? Thank you
