Thinking about buying a 2013 Porsche Cayman 981

Hey all,

I’ve been looking at a 2013 Porsche Cayman 981 (2.7 manual). One’s about £18k, higher mileage but great spec and history, and another’s around £25k with lower miles.

I’m leaning toward the cheaper one because it looks cleaner and I could use the extra cash for insurance and upkeep.

I’m not rich, just an average guy who loves cars. I currently have a 2021 BMW that I like, but I’m thinking of maybe buying it out and part-exing or selling it to get the Cayman.

So I wanted to ask:

• Are these cars realistic to own for a normal person?
• How bad are running costs and insurance really?
• How do people afford or justify them, is everyone who owns a Porsche just rich? lol
• Any surprises or regrets from owners?

Appreciate any honest input from people who’ve bought one or something similar.
