Getting sick easier

I've been sober for over 3 months now after 20+ years of smoking. Typically I used to get sick maybe once a year if that ( cold, flu type). Now that I've quit ive had 3 separate bouts of cold/flu symptoms, a skin infection on my face and now pinkeye. Wtf lol. Was weed boosting my immune system? I don't get it. Anyone else have a similar story or is it just my bad luck.
