What is the best way to build ME system that autosorts items so they does not take space on multiple disks?

Every time I play with the pack I stuble into the issue that because of autofarms the system fills up pretty fast and some items take place on multiple disks even tho the other disks could fit all. What is the most efficient way to sort among disks?
