Machine sewing on needlepoint canvas: what type of sewing needle to use?

I want to replace edging tape on a canvas that is driving me nuts (keeps falling off) and figured I’d just sew some bias tape onto the edge. Eventually would also like to self finish pillows.

Anyone know what kind of needle to use?
