Which single feature saved you most as a beginner?
We're putting together a buyer's guide on beginner-friendly sewing machines, and we need your honest input.
When you were starting out, which one feature made the biggest difference to your learning curve?
We're thinking:
-
Automatic needle threader (for those of us with questionable eyesight)
-
Speed limiter (so you don't zoom off at full throttle on day one)
-
Top-loading bobbin (less mystery, more visibility)
-
One-step buttonhole (because who has time for manual buttonhole faff)
-
Something else entirely (please tell us – we want the real answers)
We run a sewing machine shop in the UK and genuinely want to know what actually helps versus what just sounds impressive in a spec list.
What's your pick, and why?
