There are some concerns regarding the Remaster, However I did enjoy it.

This rating does not reflect the original game. The remaster actually had only 2 jobs. Remaster the game visually and make a good gameplay suitable for 2025. While in my eyes, this certainly is a visual spectacle. I was not disappointed nor put off my any of the places rather it felt really same as the original. I mean they already have the Voice files, Artwork and the story which is what makes a proper Syberia game. However there are indeed some negatives in this particular edition. I see a lot of hate towards this but honestly I'm not that mad. I wish it could have been better. Since there's only a little to improve while they achieved so much! There were some additions to some puzzles where they did not make sense in the original to make them much more clear. That is bit of a good point but it was not very significant.
First of all; Old Cutscenes! Why? Just why... I was so eager to see beautiful new cutscenes made with the new engine. Completely disappointed. Also there are some (and I highlight) embarrassing glitches, which could have been fixed easily. The camera placement reveals their game design margins, fog assets and what not. I don't know who thought it was okay to release this version. And they are not some hard to see stuff either. They are more or less in your face!
The UI redesign is also a bit disappointing. The Menu.. Phone.. Inventory... Can't help but feel they cheapened out on this aspect. They are really flat. The Journal is embarrassingly simple especially when the OG game much more design to these aspects.
The Model of Kate is simply a disappointment. No Idle animations, flat spooky face, no climbing animations, no stepping on stairs animations! Older game had those even, no excuse. They were definitely being lazy on this.
The new Cursor UI makes everything so simple and easy to spot. The real challenge was to use our intuition to look at the correct place to see if your cursor glowed lol. But in this version all the things that require your attention 'grabs' your attention than us having to look for them. For a returning player, this is nice actually it made my life easier. But it sort of beats the purpose of the challenge in this game. I wish they preserved the old cursor I would not have minded. But I see many games in this day and age has this sort of 'dumbing downs'.
But I will say that the look of 3D environments in game is spectacular. I did not feel that they did a half ass job here. What I can say is this game in 'Unfinished' and 'Unpolished'! It did not feel like a cheap cash grab but at this rate it lowkey looks that way. Game is very short too. All they had to do was recreate the environments. No writing, No VA, No Music! For contrast Silent Hill f is only 5$ more in my region and that game has 10x content!
TLDR; If you are looking to get a good Syberia experience save your money and play the original. If you were just interested as me to see the improved graphics and don't mind the price, go for it. If you are willing to overlook some flat menus, ignore a couple of glitches (I did NOT encounter any game breaking bugs - idk if this is just me but people say there's a lot of glitches but quite frankly I saw only a couple. Some people can be too harsh the game was not ruined by this at least for me) and won't mind a bit simplified gameplay, then you would be fine.
