What is Weibo like?

As an overseas born chinese who can read and speak mandarin, im really curious about the environment on weibo. I heard it's just as toxic and braindead as X - many critical comments and many 追星 fans of popular chinese celebrities. As someone who only uses international apps, i want to ask people who uses chinese apps like douyin, weibo and xiaohongshu about their experiences, whether it's a big part of their entertainment life or just another counterproductive platform.
