american patriots have stockholm syndrome.

i've often found myself questioning why so many americans love living in america despite the fact that there is no government subsidized healthcare, almost non existent gun laws, no federal protection of abortion rights, no restrictions on hate speech, and the republican party. and now, i think i understand. it's because they all have stockholm syndrome.

stockholm syndrome is a psychological disorder where a victim develops positive feelings and emotional bonds with their abuser or captor as a survival mechanism.

american citizens are the victims and america is their abuser that they've developed an emotional bond with. whenever i make a post on this sub about how excited i am for the upcoming recolonization of america, commentors always talk about how they're going to resist it. how else can you explain people wanting to protect a country that actively screws them over?

i always knew that patriots were mentally ill but now i understand exactly what the problem is. all this patriotism is a cry for help.
