Any other postpartum moms on here? Need help understanding metrics
Sorry for anyone on here who’s not postpartum and/or breastfeeding bc this might be a lot of TMI but omg I am STRUGGLING with getting a good training plan going pp.
I feel great, I’m getting lots of accidental PR’s in my cycling and running, but my HRV and training readiness are telling me I’m dying. I’m assuming it’s hormone-related, but I cannot get the DSW or even some of the coach plans to give me a good training plan for an upcoming half. I’m getting a lot of scheduled and unscheduled rest days bc it seems like every day my HRV is unbalanced, even though I’m getting great sleep and doing lots of recovery and feel totally fine. Stress levels are as good as they can be with a 13 month old lol
Anyone else have this issue? And do you have a workaround? I obviously don’t want to ignore metrics that are telling me important info (overtraining, illness, etc) but I also don’t want to be limited in my training bc of hormones skewing my HRV.
For additional info: I’ve read your HRV can be low prior to a menstrual cycle, but with irregular menstruation PP, it’s extremely unpredictable. Prior to birth, it was very obvious when menstruation would come based on HR data.
