Watch which detects unusual movements and triggers assistance alert?
Hello, I'm hoping you knowledgeable people can help me. Dusclaimer: I know no Garmin watch is a medical device, and what I'm searching for isnt perfect. But it's probably the closest thing to fill a huge gap in the market
I had a Lily a while back (I have an Insitnct 2S now which I love). The Lily was wonderful, except it constantly triggered the emergency assistance notification to my emergency contacts when I washed my hair! It always took the back and forth scrubbing motion as unsual or unexpected movement.
My son has started having seizures and we need some kind of alerting if we don't hear it starting. The movement that my Lily picked up on would be perfect. However, everything I read says it only triggers during a workout? I'm trying to figure out if it was assuming a workout then triggering. I'm also trying to work out what that feature would be called, so I can search better, as it doesn't seem to be the incident detection/fall alert that is listed.
I'm a bit overwhelmed and frazzled tbh, as I'm constantly on alert at the moment (he's injured himself hastily both times too), and I've read the specs of so many devices my brain is melting out of my ears.
I'd like to go with a Garmin as the few specific epilepsy or falling alert devices in the UK all have problems, whereas the Garmin watches tend to cover all the same features with battery life that outlasts most other stuff by weeks!
