Hotel cleaners removed our toothbrush and toothpaste. Did we “tell” them to?!!
Staying in 4-star hotel in Kyoto. We came back after first day of exploring and our toothbrushes and toothpastes, which we’d neatly left standing up in the cups in the bathroom, were gone. I’ve traveled for decades and never had this happen - even last week in Tokyo was fine. Did we miss some cultural norm or message that says ‘yes, take away my things so I can have dirty teeth’? Yes we can get new ones but likely not the special folding travel one. I’m more curious if there’s some cultural thing we missed. Any ideas?
