Where to do biomed related PhD ?

Hi, I'm a Masters of Biomed student in Australia, currently working with stem cells for my research project, but probably will change lab to the cancer field to broaden my perspective).

However, I was told that I should try to go to UK or Europe since their market is bigger than Australia.

I've always wanted to go to US, but with the current situation I'm not sure.

I wanted to work in the biotech industry in the future, so I want to do my PhD in a country that will be willing to hire me and let me find a job there. Currently, the problem with Australia is that it's impossible to find a biotech industry job unless you're a PR holder/ a citizen.

My main goal is to do a PhD in a country that has a developed and growing biotech sector and will allow international students to apply for PR/ citizenship eventually...

Any advice?

Thanks in advance.
