My narcissistic ex might be doing some passive hoovering — what do you guys think?

Hey everyone, I’ve posted here before, but I’m still trying to make sense of this whole situation.

My narcissistic ex broke up with me about 16–18 months ago. The breakup was, of course, classic narcissist style — cold, cruel, zero empathy. She had someone else lined up just a few weeks later and blocked me everywhere right after.

Fast forward to about a month and a half ago… I noticed she unblocked me on Facebook, created a new LinkedIn account (didn’t block me there), and she’s now using a profile picture from when we were together — five years ago.

Then weird stuff started happening: • Her daughter viewed my stories, • Some of her coworkers started checking out my LinkedIn, • And she’s been booking meeting rooms on my floor, even though she works in another building.

It’s like she’s subtly trying to reappear in my world without directly reaching out. Once I realized what was going on, I decided to block her back on both Facebook and LinkedIn — partly just to take back control, and honestly, to send a message that I’m done.

Now I can’t stop wondering: 1. Is this what’s called passive hoovering? 2. When you block a narcissist back like that, does it actually bruise their ego, or are they genuinely indifferent?

I know it probably shouldn’t matter at this point, but after everything she put me through, there’s a small part of me that finds it satisfying to think I might’ve actually hit her ego for once.
