My 11 year old called cops and told them she doesn’t want to live with me 😔

Hi ladies. I’m heartbroken. My little girl was upset that I was having a girls night with my best friend and texted her grandmother on my ex husbands side expressing that she wanted to leave. Grandma called the police - the cops spoke with all of us separately and my daughter told them she wanted to leave. The honored her request and took her to her grandmas. I am in shock. She is already trying to come back home too. I am looking into therapy for my child and I will be firm on my parenting but I’m not understanding why she did this? Is this a cry for attention? I’m so heartbroken. Any advice is so appreciated. Her father is also in shock. His mother is always in the middle of drama and this is not news to anyone. It seems my child understands this and uses it to her advantage.
