Help me choose a bicycle

I am a female around 5ft tall planning to buy 26T bicycle with low frame size.24T is also in consideration.The confusing part is weather to go with geared or non-geared. I am planning to ride for 30mins for 2-3 days in a week.Im residing in bangalore.My budget is 15k.I have never tried non-geared cycle and also skeptical about the maintenance. Please suggest which one to choose and also brands to consider. Also if there in any shop suggestions where I can try it out it would be great. Thanks in advance!!
