Suggestions for wine tasting at home

Hello!

I am planning to gift my mom wine for Christmas, with the plan of making a wine tasting at home. I myself don’t drink wine, maybe once a year (at mom’s place). I know mom drinks both red and white, but usually goes for the cheaper bottles. I know she likes Tempranillo. I would love to get suggestions on how I should go about it. Should I focus on a certain type of red wine (like different Tempranillos), a brand etc. Currently I am leaning towards different grapes (for example Malbec, Tempranillo, Pinot Noir and so on) just for her to have the possibility to try different types.

I wanted the theme to be like “different red wines around the world” (she hasn’t been able to travel due to illness, so I am trying to bring the world to her). I would love to get help with deciding on the wines, I gathered a list of different types that I am considering:

Matias Riccitelli Viejos Viñedos en Pie Franco Malbec, 2021 Argentina

Montes Alpha Carmenère, 2021 Chile

The Butcher Pinot Noir, 2023 Austria

I was thinking of a mix of lighter and heavier wines. I read the butcher is considered easy to drink and is quite popular in our country (we live in Northern Europe). The other two’s are supposedly a bit heavier/stronger (idk how to describe wine). So I am thinking of adding a Tempranillo. Feel free to suggest a new list of wines that would fit the theme. I am thinking of 4-6 wines in total, but would prefer to spend less than 120€ total.
