Me (30M) looking for advice with potential partner (32F)
Hi all!
Wanted to get some advice regarding a person I'm seeing that I'm interested in pursuing something more with. The person on question, 32F, is divorced and I met her on Bumble. Last week was the first time we started talking and we went out a few times in the past week (movies, park walk, and then just cooking at her house) and things got hot and heavy real fast in the sex deparment-pretty much from day 1. When I mentioned the idea of moving forward more as a couple in the future, she mentioned she is also talking to other guys and is "healing" through her divorce and isn't sure when she will be ready to move on (1 guy in particular she's been talking to for 3 months and they still aren't more than FWB) although she had said and stated in her profile that she wants a long term relationship. My fear is that I will devote all this time (and eventually money) into someone that might lead to nowhere.
I guess the advice I'm looking for is how do you propose I proceed here? I do like the girl a lot, looking at everything other that how we fooled around, I like spending time and talking with her, but at the same time I don't want to overwhelm her, that's a big thing, I just want to stand out from the other guys she's talking to with the end goal to make her my girlfriend. So I guess the part 2 of my question is how do I ensure that I don't overwhelm her, while still keeping her interested and eventually work to get past the "dating" stage and into the "relationship" stage.
I'm hoping the wise words of reddit will help shed some light here. So let me know your thoughts!
