I don't know where to move forward with my future jobs

M21 here, Back when I was choosing a carrer for uni I choose software developer but my mom decided for me to choose artificial intelligence because she thought that was similar but it has better jobs opportunity. Fast forward and guess what, it's not similar at all. It's so much harder and I don't even enjoy doing anything involve it. I don't even know what ai engineer does. I wanted to go back to software developer but given the choice last year's I decided to stay in AI because I was doing so bad in uni I can't fathom staying behind in uni for any longer. I regret it so much. I'm studying for a career I don't like and I don't know what to do now.
