Calling all hephaestus enjoyers!!!!

Guys for the “remake” of Greek mythology I am writing. I am doing my best to characterize the gods in 2 faced unique ways, no god is evil and no god is good.

But when it comes to Hephaestus.. I love Hephaestus’s ideas, his lameness, the forge, and his gifts to hero’s. But so many of his myths I just interpret him as just kinda a gross ugly man? I know that’s simplifying it a lot, I love Hephaestus but he has always been mine and my bf’s least favorite olympian.

I know of a lot of his myths but his myths with the other Olympians, I just don’t feel captivated by looking at them from his point of view(other than just “oh every body hates me”) aside from those myths I love him! But just him catching Ares and Aphrodite(I just love ares and Aphrodite), him chasing Athena, his forced marriage to Aphrodite etc..

I am worried that either intentionally or unintentionally I will make him simple/bad. Help!
