Rice Cookers are Pointless

I am sick and tired of the kitchen of every place I've lived being cluttered up by a big stupid ugly rice cooker. It is so goddamn easy to make rice in a pot, 2 parts water, one part rice, simmer, cover and come back in ten minutes BAM its done. Are you seriously telling me that it's too hard for you to just check on the rice every couple of minutes?? Grow the fuck up.

You do not need an entire separate appliance sitting on the counter or taking up precious cupboard space to avoid having to make the effort of literally pointing your eyeballs at the stove for half a second.

And then when you inevitably throw it away because SOMEHOW you always end up with three of these imbecilic cousins of crock pots kept locked in the basement out of sheer shame, it ends up as yet another hunk of garbage leaching microplastics into the ocean so it can slowly poison all life on earth, just so you all don't have to burden yourselves with something easier to cook than a fried egg.

In short rice cookers are everything wrong with humanity in microcosm and are proof we deserve to go extinct.
