I feel stuck in a depressive loop of self-awareness
Lately, I’ve been feeling like I’m at rock bottom, and I don’t really know how to get out. My days feel meaningless I go through them without purpose, without any real intellectual or emotional stimulation.
What makes it worse is that I’m completely aware of what’s happening to me. It’s like being trapped inside my own mind, watching myself waste away while being too tired to change. I can barely hold proper conversations anymore; my social life is extremely limited, and I mostly rely on random short interactions just to feel connected.
I lose focus easily, my interests fade quickly, and I end up lying in bed or staring at my computer screen. Even when I try to improve like dieting or exercising I somehow sabotage my own efforts.
When I look in the mirror, I don’t see someone worth liking. I just see an ordinary, dull guy someone who doesn’t seem to have anything interesting to offer, someone who can’t really catch anyone’s attention.
It’s like being painfully self-aware of my own decline, yet feeling powerless to stop it.
Has anyone else experienced this loop of awareness and paralysis? How did you break out of it?
