4.0 Pop Growth Help

Someone please help explain pop growth in 4.0 to me. I've been away from Stellaris for a while, and I am exceptionally confused regarding how growth works in this new version. It probably doesn't help that I am rather poor with maths, so if you can break it down for an idiot, that would be much appreciated! =D I had a look at previous explanations, but all it did was confuse me further.

It says that my pop growth is 0, but somehow it is growing by 5? Maybe my mods have completely broken something, I'm not sure. All help is appreciated!
