Experience with gov funded digital bootcamps

i recently heard about a gov funded bootcamp about digital marketing. not sure if i can say the company name here but i applied, had interview, and heard back that i’ve been accepted.

the course is free and 8 weeks long, and it’s remote with a couple in person days apparently. i’m just unsure about whether to do it as i’ve heard some negative comments about free bootcamps and don’t want to waste my time. i also don’t like working remotely that much as i struggle with my mental health if im at home often.

for context, i’ve been unemployed since april and struggling to get any job, i have a degree in illustration but am happy to gain more skills in a different field eg digital marketing. i’m hoping to eventually get a job using my degree and creative/digital skills so maybe digital marketing will be an option (not really sure exactly what it entails tho!)

has anyone done a digital bootcamp or specifically one with this company? have they been beneficial for you or not? i would really appreciate any advice or to hear your experiences!
