Trouble Brewing Plus (adding the Tor Loric for experienced players)
Hello everyone,
this weekend I had the opportunity to attend the first official German Blood on the Clocktower Con and it was a great experience, so shout-out to anybody reading this who also attended.
As one of the late night rounds on Saturday, I launched an experiment to spice up the usual TB experience that our experiences players often claim to know in and out. Being the storyteller, I let them choose between a Loric, either Tor or Big Wig (which I had an awesome experience earlier in a S&V game!). After a few words of explanation, the majority voted to run the Tor, so I set up a bag for 14 players trying to make it as interesting as possible.
- I've added both Empath and Chef for both of them to figure out who is who (after Night 2, once they find each other, they should know) as a minigame.
- Librarian showing a Saint, unfortunately the other ping went to the Ravenkeeper which in retrospective felt like a bad experience for the player and I wouldn't set it up like this again.
- On the final night, with no minions left, the SW/Imp took quite a long time to choose, then ultimately killed themselves, which would normally result in ending the game. I took some liberties and woke up the recluse as a new (good) Imp, since it was the last regular game that day and possibly create a wholesome moment.
Has anyone tried it before? How would you run the Butler/Spy in this Tor setting? Players have asked me during the first day, and I haven't really thought about it before. I guess one could drop the butler some vague clue, since they would also we waking up every night, potentially thinking they are the poisoner. About the Spy, I am less sure. Maybe let them choose to find out one character every night?
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
Cheers
