24 Hour Run Against Homelessness 2025
Starting at noon on wednesday this week and lasting until noon on Thursday, various run clubs from the city will be running a long relay of 5K laps around the city. This is in aid of the Greater Manchester Mayor's Trust and their program A Bed Every Night. Last year they raised £50,000 for it and they're looking to match that again this year.
It's based in a new venue for this year, the House of Social on First Street, and the 5K course they've picked runs through Oxford road and St Peter's square. They're looking for donations, which will be matched by Autotrader. If you would like to join in the running, feel free to come down to the House of Social and wait for the next relay group to set off. The pace will be approachable for all, with a "no runner left behind" policy.
Here's a link to their website, and I guess I should say I'm not involved in running this, though I am on the committee of one of the run clubs joining in. But like, so many of the run clubs are joining in, I feel that's fairly innocent.
