using nord vpn

i subscribed to crunchy roll this year and i just tried using nord vpn on my iphone since i was curious to know animes that are japan exclusive (is there even one?) but the app on my phone is showing me that “we’re having trouble connecting”. anybody has this issue? tried turning it on and off my nord vpn app but it still shows the error message
