£699 MacBook Air M2 or £780 MacBook Pro M1 Pro

I have a choice:
£699 NEW MacBook Air M2 - 16GB / 256GB SSD / Base model

£780 Second hand MacBook Pro M1 Pro / 16GB / 1TB SSD

The second hand one is from Back Market, popular in the UK, has excellent as its condition grade, Back Market is fairly well known and respected...

My use will be:

General browsing

Media creation (Video and photo editing)

Virtual Machine usage (Intune/Jamf/MDM consultant by trade)

Bash/Shell Scripting

M365 Usage and Administration

Desktop usage, ONE external display.

I'm torn between the two...On one hand I'd LOVE a new device, but the second hand has a lot more storage and a better CPU? Can anyone share any wisdom with me on what would work better?
