Pranit's decision may seem wrong but it actually is a pretty bold move (hear me out)
So, this week, because of Pranit's decision, Abhishek had to be evicted. But before we can jump on the bandwagon and start coming at Paranit, we need to understand the situation that he'd been put in BY THE SHOW.
We've seen that this season from at least the middle of it has been very largely controlled by the makers. The nominations are completely rigged, eliminations unfair, and not only that the tasks are also being arranged in a way that are more favourable to some participants particularly. So, in this case, we can say that the contestants are not running the show. Rather, the show is running the contestants. The show has completely been stripped off of its originally and genuinity.
It is very clear the show is biased towards some contestants, and they have been failing in projecting that biases on to the audience. So they have been, for weeks now, trying to create a drift between the members of the main group. Also, since the negative group can not keep their people together, they are losing supporters in the house and outside because of their selfish and fickle natures.
So, now the show needs to change their tactics, instead of showing that they are good people the show is trying to portray that the people from the main group aren't any better by trying to distance the audience from them. They "evict" Pranit last week and didn't eliminate anyone else, but this week, they decided to do double eliminations for some reason. Why was this done? we may question. That's because the target was set on Abhishek and Ashnoor from the last week. They had always wanted to evict them at the cost of the credibility and loyalty of their friends (two birds with one stone). Last week, they wanted Gaurav, Pranit, and Mridhul to nominate only Abhishek and Ashnoor. But that didn’t happen so this week they gave power to Paranit to choose between his two closest friends when he wasn't even the captain by giving some really stupid reason that didn't sit well with anyone.
Let's now dissect that:
Salman Khan gave a power to Pranit that he could "choose" to save anyone from the nominated 3, and the rest 2 would be eliminated.
Only it really didn't sound like a choice. Salman Khan very explicitly said someone who has seemingly more contribution is more visible and active. By his choice of words, it was clear he was hinting at Abhishek. If that was clearly the case, why not save him without the whole drama. They could've done literally anything if they wanted to keep him in the show (like they have been doing for many other contestants). But they didn’t. So there was clearly an ulterior motive here.
And if Pranit had saved Abhishek, they would've used him to ruin the perception of Gaurav and Pranit in the eyes of the audience to pave the way you're their favourites in the coming weeks.
In that case, it was very bold of Pranit to choose what he values more than the spoonfeeding of the show. This actually shows independent thinking, and it was very refreshing to see traits like good manner, respectful language, and respectful behaviour being preferred over hot-temper, stubbornness, hubris, and disrespectful behaviors. Not particularly targeting Abhishek here, but in this show, these traits are always more rewarded and seen as a contribution to the show. I think polite nature, and humble friendships need to be focussed on more and also encouraged, in the show that is focussed on showing how when people with different personalities are put together in a situation tend to create a world for themselves and others.
This was just my analysis of the whole situation. Feel free to hop in and tell me what you think, but please keep it respectful. This post isn't meant to be hateful towards anyone. Like all others, this is just my opinion.
