The 8 "traitors" are completely intentional and you dumb dumbs are falling for it hook line and sinker

There are a fuck ton of reasons (at least 3) why temporarily ending the shutdown is a good thing. Also note that it is a TEMPORARY ending of the shutdown for 2 months. Did I mention that the shutdown is temporarily ending for two months?

During this time, fed workers will get paid, which means they won't quit. You know what's worse than aca subsidies expiring? Trump getting to hire thousands of maga sycophants into the fed gov with federal job protection. Let alone the damage they could do during his term, undoing that would be an absolute nightmare.

Another bonus is that people stop going hungry. I know some of you are ghouls who don't give a shit, but giving people a respite and allowing them some time to prepare for the next time they know the soulless admin won't feed them is also a good thing.

Finally repubs will most likely get blamed again when aca subsidies lapse. The American people understand that trump took away snap AND caused this shutdown, so I don't see why we shouldnt expect that to happen again.

So why aren't Dems full hogging this? A couple reasons.

1 they don't want to give Republicans the opportunity to spin it ahead of time. Any preemptive spin the Republicans try to put on the upcoming shutdown will just look like schizo posting. 2 Dems are still pretty cowardly and risk averse overall, that much hasn't changed. They know that pretending like there are rogue Dems plays better optically, and it worked the last time when Chuck fell on the sword for the cr in spring so that we would have much more effective messaging for this shutdown when health care was ACTUALLY at stake.

Let the fucking politics sub and other more lefty anti dem spaces doom post and rag on Dems. But this space should to stan our giga chads defending democracy.
