anxious to leave the house?
it was only early this year that i had really bad anxiety (that had lasted about over a year, and im not diagnosed but all my teachers told me they thought it was anxiety) about both going to college and just getting there? and it made me fail classes due to lack of attendance and unable to catch up on work, which only made me feel worse
so bad that all my college teachers were suggesting the free counselling my college offered and i took up on it once, but i was too anxious to continue after that
anyway since finishing college and starting uni, ive been doing incredibly well. like i’d say probably no anxiety, like its insane how well ive been doing considering my state earlier this year, and past years.
ive been in uni around 2 months now, and its great, lots of friends, i really like the content im doing and my attendance is completely 100%…
however for the past week or so ive started to feel a bit anxious again. like this morning i had that same thought spiral of “i cant do the hassle of getting up, showering, everything and then having to get the bus and train and do uni..maybe i should just skip.”
but i didnt, and im currently on the train so thats something. but just the fact that i thought it is making me worry. i dont want to go back to how i was, it was genuine hell. and i almost didnt think id make it through college. the amount of times id get to college, get to the bus stop or just get to my front door and have to go all the way back home was just unbearable. i cant do it again
it might seem like it was the college environment that was making me anxious, and it was part of it yes, but it was also the getting there: the bus, the walking. i dont know why but it just made me so anxious. and also yesterday i was a little anxious to go out shopping. but i did. and it was good.
what do i do now?? how do i manage this and make sure i dont end up like i was?
tl;dr: im starting to feel anxious going to places and i need advice on what to do so i dont end up as bad as i used to be
thank you in advance <3
