33M in Ipswich looking for friends of my own

Hi, I'm Nick! A Midlander who has now lived in Suffolk for 6 years and still has yet to make friends of his own.

I live in Ipswich with my partner and our cat. I moved here for her. The girlfriend, I mean, not the cat. Although the cat is a nice bonus. All of my friends I see in person are her friends, who've been really kind in welcoming me into their circle. We go on holiday together and all sorts of good stuff, but sometimes you just need to have friends of your own. This is where you come in, hopefully!

To give you a small overview of what I'm like, I'm more than capable of laughing at myself and I'm into football (I play 5 a side when I'm not injured - which is worryingly often and I'm starting to believe I might be made of Quavers), reading, writing but never finishing anything I start, music (my taste is varied), photography, crime dramas, true crime, and I've recently decided to start collecting Pokemon cards again. Politically, I am left-leaning. That doesn't mean I'm loony left, but I'm also most definitely not a Tory. There's nuance to this stuff!

Anyway, I'd love to find someone who needs a bestie, male or female, to chat to regularly and meet up for coffees/pints every now and then (possibly regularly if we get on well) and do all the usual stuff good friends would do. Also, one day I'll get married, and at the moment my guest list is embarrassingly short, so you'll have that to look forward to if you stick around, just saying!
