Had a chat with Motilal Oswal Midcap Fund Manager – Some insights for investors

Hey everyone,

I recently got a chance to meet Niket Shah, the fund manager of Motilal Oswal Midcap Fund, and had an interesting chat about the fund’s recent underperformance.

He was pretty open about it, said the fund might continue to underperform for another 6 months as they’re reworking the allocation and overall structure to get things back in shape.

Just wanted to share this here for anyone who’s recently invested after seeing past returns and is now wondering why performance looks dull. It’s not a major red flag, but yeah, the recovery will take time.
