Global Talent Visa applying to Stage 2 while waiting for endorsement

Other threads have indicated that it's possible to apply for Stage 2 of the Global Talent Visa while still awaiting the endorsement from Stage 1. I must apply for the Stage 2 now as otherwise my visa will expire, and my work is hounding me. In the Stage 2 application though, a few questions appear as issues given the circumstances:

1. In Application Type, "How are you applying for the Global Talent visa?" I must select 'I have an endorsement'. Although this isn't yet true, I suppose it's the only option to allow me to proceed.

2. In Endorsing body, "Have you provided a letter of endorsement from an endorsing body?" Again, I must select 'No', since I am still awaiting this. However, the follow-on question, "Are you applying for endorsement and leave at the same time?" is an issue. In my initial Stage 1 application, I indicated that I was not applying for Stage 2 at the same time. However, selecting 'no' throws up a warning, and thus it seems the most reasonable to select 'yes'. (I suppose the meaning of 'same time' in Home Office timelines could very well be interpreted as multiple months 😭😡).

The question is, how do I link the application I've made to Stage 1, which I submitted almost 8-weeks ago, to this current application to Stage 2? Does anyone have any thoughts on these mismatches between their form questions and the reality of their godawful two-stage application process?
