thyroid detected

22M , i have psoriasis and my nutritionist advised me to get a test done! and result that my TSH level is 35 and i was shocked and had no idea of it and then i consulted my family doctor 2 days back and he in a very normal way told me that ok now eat this medicine for lifetime now you can’t do anything about it deal with it and prescribed a 150 mg of medicine! and i am getting scared by listening lifetime and pls let me know if there is any cure for it as i want to control it in the very starting PS - my mother has thyroid post pregnancy after i was born!
