My sister found my missing item weeks ago but never told me….. is it stealing?

My sister found my lost earbuds in her room 4 weeks ago. She didn’t tell me until my younger sister told me she saw her charging it. When I asked about ithe said she never told me because I already bought a new one and that she bought a case for it to give it to me for Christmas “for fun.” But bro, it’s November — you were already thinking about Christmas?

She also made me look for it in her bags because she “forgot” where she put it since she “never used it.” When we finally found it in her travel bag (she has a trip coming up), the case I originally bought for it was gone. That case wasn’t easy to remove — my old one stayed on for two years. This earbuds set is new, so I’m shocked. I don’t know if she removed it or what.

She’s the one more mad about me finding out, saying I shouldn’t be mad because I was the one who lost it. But I’m not mad she hid it — I’m mad she didn’t tell me after so many weeks, knowing I’m only home on weekends since I go to uni.

I mean, if I know that my sibling really values that item, I would return it. Idk 🤷🏻‍♀️, her first reaction was, “Who told you?” I wasn’t mad when I asked, but she was. I told her she should’ve told me sooner because I really value it, but I just learned to accept it and bought a cheaper one.
